New Year’s trip

by Diane on 02/02/2013

Just after Christmas we went to Onaero for a couple of days to start the new year together with friends.

In February Ross and Shelley got married up there, and just by chance we managed to stay in the most beautiful house. You might even remember the photos I posted of the wedding dance and the beautiful view from the house  during my Foto Feb challenge last year.

Together with Teresa, Rich, Paul and Nilanka we decided to come back to welcome the new year in style, and we had a really great time there. The house was awesome again – what’s not to love about large house with spa pool, just a few meters away from the beach?

The weather wasn’t too good to start with, so we spent a rainy day at the Taranaki Aviation, Transport and Technology Museum (beware, their website is very 90s!). I had planned to write a little bit about our visit there, but luckily Teresa has already done it, in waaaay more detail than I would have gone into. So please go over there and read Teresa’s blog post about the museum, ok?

We spent most of the time just relaxing around the house, but we also went shopping, visited the Festival of Lights at Pukekura Park in New Plymouth, and Kai and I went flying.

Now that I’ve been back at work for four weeks, this time in Onaero Beach feels like a very long time ago.
