We went to La Bella Italia in Petone tonight, to celebrate Kai’s successfully taken Air Law exam as well as our eighth wedding anniversary. Afterwards we went for a little walk along the beach and onto the ferry terminal bridge. It was super windy today, we were almost blown into the sea.

As I said yesterday I have moved desks at work. Where I’m sitting now is much more quiet and lots of interesting people walk past. Currently it’s a little bit boring, because the desk to my right is not in use, but soon my web content editor will move to that desk, and I’ll have someone to talk to close by.

I moved desks at work this morning, so a picture of my new ‘home’ would have been a great picture for today. Unfortunately I only kept talking about taking a photo, and in the end forgot about it. Might be an idea to keep in mind for tomorrow.

So here’s what I did after work: Often when I get a ride home from Nick on good weather days, we stop by a playground and spend some time doing the fun things you do on a playground. Because it would be very awkward if two adults were doing that all by themselves, we usually pick up Leo on the way and use him as an excuse for playground time. We did it again today, and even though it doesn’t look like it in the photo, Leo really enjoyed it. He even took his very first own photo with my camera, but it was more like a ‘yeah sure, if you ask me nicely I’ll take a photo of daddy’ generous gesture – I was certainly more excited about the excellent picture he took than he was.

This is my view while I had breakfast today. We were still in the awesome house we had rented with a group of friends to spend the weekend in Taranaki for Ross’ and Shelley’s wedding. A relaxing morning, with fresh fruit in the sun, the sound of the ocean in the background and awesome company. After that we hopped into the spa pool before wrapping up and leaving the place to get to the post-wedding lunch at a different location.
