You might know that I have a pretty awesome god child. Her name is Marie, she’s five years old and she’s a super cool little girl. Unfortunately she lives in Germany, which means I don’t get to see her very often. But since her parents are pretty cool too, they keep me in up to date with everything that’s going on in Marie’s life by sending me photo books. I have a fantastic collection of them by now; they take up quite a bit of space in our book shelf, but I wouldn’t want to be without them ever.
Today the latest photo book issue has arrived, it’s a special summer feature, showing all the fun Marie and her baby sister Lisa had on holiday. There were also quite a few other things in the parcel, which made me very happy:
- Letter from Marie with a cute drawing
- Greeting card from the whole family with a picture of them all
- Copy of card we received after Lisa’s birth – the original got wet in the mail somewhere between Germany and NZ (I still kept it, but I’m glad to have a mint version to replace it with now!)
- Miniature movie/film-strip reader toy (super fun!)
I love getting the photo books and the little things that always come with them. Sometimes it’s lollies, sometimes crafty material with instructions what to create from it, sometimes other little presents. It’s always very exciting to open the box and see what else is in there – even though sending just the photo book itself would make me happy enough to put a big smile on my face.
Glad that the book arrived. Even more glad that you like it.
Cheers,
Joe
Liebe Grüße :-)
Olaf
