Oh dear, I really suck at blogging if I don’t have a real goal to work towards to.
It’s not like nothing happened since the airshow in Ohakea. There were heaps of things going on. For example:
- A weekend in Sydney
- A conference tour trip around the world: Singapore – Essen – Boston – Kansas City – Hawaii (the latter was pure holiday at the end of the trip)
- The merger of a couple of government agencies was announced in NZ, including my employer (my beloved Department of Building and Housing)
- We watched plenty of awesome movies
- I got my user group mojo back and have been organising events like crazy
Yes, there’s a lot that would have been worth a post. But still, I didn’t even blog about our holiday. It’s not that I don’t feel guilty about it – I still read all my friends’ blogs and every time I see how much love and effort people like Teresa, Jennifer or Jethro put into their blogs, I really want to write more. Not just for you, but also for me. I love flicking through the pages and remember all the cool things I’ve posted about. I also enjoy seeing how much I’ve developed through the last couple of years, from being an NZ newbie to the person I am today. I think it’s very exciting to follow my own progress, and I can’t wait to go back to the early posts in another five or ten years time to see how I’ve developed even further.
So, the only solution to stop the guilty feelings and to produce a better record of my life is to get back into blogging. Here’s a fresh new design for the blog and a promise to get back into the swing of regular blogging. And to show how serious I am, I’ll do another month of daily photos with Nick, just like we did in February. Keep and eye out for a daily pic throughout September!
I’m happy – I love you blogging!!! As there seem to be no more adventures for me, I’m very much into yours – a bit jealous still….
Looking forward to your photos – I’m happy!!!
Aw, I got an honorable mention! My blog has been pretty quiet too but I expect it will pick up during my holiday that starts next week! I also find it easier to blog when I have goals. Sometimes the writing just doesn’t come. I look forward to your future posts :D
Yay, good luck with the blogging efforts! :-)
It’s hard work to post frequently, I really need to up my game a bit, been getting a little slack lately with my postings.
