So ein Urlaub ist schon ganz schoen stressig, man kommt gar nicht mehr zum bloggen… Aber ich versuche mal, die letzten Tage noch einmal Revue passieren zu lassen.
Am Tag nach der Spielplatzparty hat Kai es endlich geschafft, in Deutschland zu fliegen. Zwar mit massivem Augenzudruecken der Flugschule und halbwegs illegal, aber immerhin. Ich habe die Zeit genutzt, mich mit Iris (einer meiner treuesten Kommentatorinnen hier im Blog) zu treffen. Am Tag darauf kam Susanne extra nach Essen angereist, um sich mit uns zu treffen. Nach einem Bummel durch Ruettenscheid und die Innenstadt waren wir bei Tablo essen – der Tag ging viel zu schnell vorbei!
An dieser Stelle moechte ich auch mal ein dickes Dankeschoen an meine Schwester loswerden! Ohne sie waere unser Urlaub nur halb so entspannt, denn sie hat uns seit Ferienbeginn ihr Auto ueberlassen – der kleine Flitzer ist einfach grossartig!
Letztes Wochenende stand dann ganz im Zeichen des Fest der Rose. Papa und Mechthild sind zu besagtem Festival nach Bad Neuenahr gefahren und wir hatten sturmfrei! Natuerlich haben wir Filme auf der Riesenleinwand geguckt (Butterfly Effect, The Island und Ratatouille), die Wellnessoase (= Papas neues Bad) ohne Ende genutzt und am Sonntagabend mit meiner Schwester und Family das Endspiel der Fussball Europameisterschaft geschaut.
Being on holiday is quite stressful, there’s hardly any time for blogging… ;-) But I’ll try to recap the last couple of days. After the playground party (see last entry) Kai finally managed to go flying. It was partly illegal, but who cares? I used the time to meet Iris (one of my most loyal commentator) and the day after Susanne came to Essen to meet us. We walked around in Ruettenscheid and in the city and had awesome turkish dinner at Tablo – the day went by much too fast!
One of the best things of this holiday is that my lovely sister gave us her car as soon as the school holidays had started. It takes away a lot of planning how-to-get-where-to and is a very cute little racer – it’s really great!
Last weekend was the weekend of the famous “Feast of roses” in Bad Neuenahr. My dad and Mechthild made a short trip down there and Kai and I enjoyed a peaceful and stressless weekend watching movies on the big screen (Butterfly Effect, The Island and Ratatouille), used the wellness oasis (= dad’s new and awesome renovated bathroom) and had a footy party with my sister and her family to watch Germany losing the final of the European Championship.
