Merkt eigentlich jemand wenn ich nicht blogge?

Lange nichts gehoert/gelesen von mir, was? Das lag nicht daran, dass es nichts zu erzaehlen gegeben haette, ganz im Gegenteil. Ich war in den letzten Wochen entweder sehr beschaeftigt, oder komplett ausser Gefecht gesetzt und bin deshalb nicht zum Bloggen gekommen. Was habe ich also gemacht?

Ich habe Kai drei mal auf Reisen geschickt (nach Bangkok, nach San Francisco und nach Karlsruhe) und zwei mal nach Reisen wieder zu Hause begruesst (nach Thailand und nach USA). Ich selbst bin lediglich in Neuseeland herum gereist: New Plymouth, Auckland, Nelson, Greymouth. Dadurch, dass ich versucht habe, moeglichst viel Arbeit in meine letzten drei Wochen vor dem Urlaub zu packen, habe ich die meiste Zeit sitzend im Auto, im Flugzeug oder auf unmoeglichen platten Stuehlen verbracht. Das kombiniert mit mangelndem sportlichen Ehrgeiz hat meinem Ruecken gar nicht gut getan und er hat rebelliert. Als Konsequenz konnte ich nicht an der Stadtralley teilnehmen, fuer die ich angemeldet war, und so kam mein Team nach allen anderen ins Ziel. Ausserdem habe ich mich um die Installation unserer neuen Alarmanlage gekuemmert, meine Photoshop Prufung bestanden (ja, ich bin jetzt tatsaechlich Adobe Certified Associate in Visual Communication Photoshop CS3), an vier Instituten gleichzeitig Tarifverhandlungen gefuehrt und mich mit dem Design der Blogseite beschaeftigt (hier ein “so-koennte-es-bald-ungefaehr-aussehen”); ich lerne fuer die Dreamweaver-Pruefung und lebe nebenbei noch mein normales Leben weiter. Da bleibt halt keine Zeit zum bloggen… ;-)

It has been a long time since the last blog entry. It wasn’t because there was nothing to tell, quite the contrary. In the last couple of weeks I was either very busy, or completely knocked out – so, what did I do?

I’ve sent Kai away to travel three times (to Bangkok, to San Francisco and to Karlsruhe) and I welcomed him back home twice (after Thailand and the US). I personally only traveled New Zealand: New Plymouth, Auckland, Nelson, Greymouth. I’ve tried to get as much work done as possible in the last three weeks before my holidays, but that meant that I had to spent most of my days sitting (in cars, in air planes, in dusty meeting rooms on rubbish chairs). Combined with my current lack of enthusiasm for sport that led into my back revolting. As a consequence I couldn’t take part in a city safari event as planned, I had to let my team down and they came last (it would have definitely ended better if I had been there on the day :)). Additionally I’ve arranged the installation of our brand new home security system, passed my Photoshop exam (yeah, I’m now an Adobe Certified Associate in Visual Communication Photoshop CS3), did collective agreement negotiations at four institutes, played around with this blog’s design (here’s a little “that’s-what-it-could-look-like”), I currently study for the Dreamweaver exam and along the way I try to live my normal life. That means: no time for blog updates… ;-)
